The Batch C Stream 1 Npower Program will end in August 2022, according to a statement from the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development.
Nneka Ikem Anibueze, Sadiya Umar Farouk’s special assistant for media and publicity, revealed the information on Saturday in response to an article that appeared in the Daily Trust on Monday, August 9, 2022, with the title OPEN LETTER TO MUHAMMADU BUHARI, “WHY SADIYA UMAR FAROUQ SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE.”
As stated by Mrs. Anibueze, “Npower Batch C recipients were split into the C1 and C2 streams. Having completed the program for 12 months as of this August 2022, Batch C1 was deployed in September 2021.”
Contrary to media rumors, the Batch C Stream 1 Npower Program has not been extended to six months. This was allegedly done to increase the APC’s voter turnout in the upcoming general election in 2023.
The media rumors left the Batch C Npower beneficiaries in a state of confusion, with many asking when the Batch C stream 1 of Npower would end.
The Batch C Stream 1 Npower Program will be extended, according to Archinformant Daily Npower News Update, which also stated that a ministry update regarding the Batch C Stream 1 Npower Program’s exit date is anticipated before the end of August 2022.
The Ministry has expedited the payment of all unpaid Stipends to the beneficiaries as backlogs in order to be ready for the exit of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries.
Since the first week of August 2022, the Ministry has been clearing “FAILED PAYMENTS from the Month of September, 2021 to May, 2023.”
The National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS), which is part of the Ministry, also announced on Thursday the beginning of the June Stipends Payment, noting that the Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries’ bank accounts would soon be credited for the month of June 2022.
