Requirements For JAMB Registration 2023
The Following are requirements for JAMB 2023 Registration:
1.) NIN: First and foremost, every aspirant should note that National Identification Number (NIN) has been made compulsory as a requirement for 2023 registration.
No NIN, no registration. So I would advise all aspirants reading this to get their National Identification Number (NIN) gotten before the commencement of registration and exams.
Aside from having NIN, there are a lot of things students need to know before going to examination centers:
2.) West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE): As some would say or you might have heard some said that for one to register for JAMB, he or she must have written the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
I want to use this medium to tell and assure you that this is untrue.
So if you haven’t written WASSCE before JAMB registration commences you are on the good side, however, you must be willing to write it (SSCE) the same year.
All you have to do is to indicate during registration that you will be using awaiting result, that is, you don’t have a result yet.
3.) Age: At the same time, you might be wondering what the minimum age for UTME is, well as for that you must be 16 and above to register for JAMB.
Now to 2023 JAMB registration proper, the following must be beforehand for a successful registration:
4.)Email: A functional email, make sure this mail can be easily accessed by you anytime, anywhere. As necessary information will be passed to students through this mail.
So I will reiterate again, please make sure the mail is personal.
5.) Phone Number: Another thing needed is a functional phone number. This is also important as vital information about exams will be communicated through these numbers.
6.) e-pin: Also included is the purchase of e-pins and generation of profile code, this can be done at accredited computer-based test (CBT) centers.
You don’t need to fuss about this because it can be gotten without stress.
7) Make sure all information supplied to your registrar is correct, and make sure you print out your registration slip.

Which Novel Is JAMB Using For 2023
JAMB novel for 2023/2024 is The life changer by by Khadija Abubakar Jalli.
The life changer is a compulsory novel for those writing 2023 UTME.
Choosing institutions and courses in JAMB Registration 2023
It should be noted that during JAMB registration, applicants will be asked to fill in four different higher institutions of learning.
Federal universities must come first, state universities must come second, polytechnics should come third, and colleges of education or other educational institutions must come fourth.
Always choose different schools for each of the four spaces. Therefore, before choosing any tertiary institution, every aspirant must conduct thorough research.
Aspirants are free to select any federal university as their first choice.
Examples of federal universities are; University of Ibadan (UI), University of Ilorin (Unilorin), University of Lagos (Unilag), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), University of Benin (Uniben), Federal University of Technology Akure (Futa), Nnamdi Azikwe University (UNIZIK) just to mention a few.
You are welcome to conduct a web search for your preferred university as there are many more federal universities than those that are mentioned above.
Additionally, choosing universities in one’s home state is always a good idea to improve admissions chances.
Because students from states with less access to education are always given special consideration during admission, not all universities use this system unless your state is classified as ELds (education less privileged).
States that fall under ELds include; Zamfara, Sokoto, Gombe, Yobe, and many more.
As for state universities, the same modalities should be observed as written for the first above.
Some of the popular state universities in Nigeria are; Lagos State University (Lasu), Kwara State University (Kwasu), Olabisi Onabanjo State University (OOU), etc.

The third option is a polytechnic, and the final option is a college of educations.
Many students (aspirants) frequently struggle to choose the appropriate courses because of this.
Everyone has one or two courses they want to take because of the culture there. But how much do you actually know about your study program? The course may not even be offered at the university you chose. Aspirants should take into account all of these before choosing a school or course.
For confirmation, check the portal of your preferred university. If the course is offered there, proceed with registration; otherwise, choose a different university that offers it or switch to a different course.
How JAMB questions are set, marked, and calculated
Last year, when I was registering at a CBT center, I overheard some students debating the UTME exam’s format.
While some claimed it is objective, others affirmed that its theory is. As for what to anticipate in your upcoming JAMB exam, it will be OBJECTIVE with no theory questions.
There will be 180 questions in the exam (JAMB), and you will have two hours to finish and submit them.
In light of this, Ofordum Joshua’s choices are English, Government, Economics, and Literature. She will respond to 40 questions in the remaining three subjects and 60 questions in English.
Students benefit greatly from objective questions because there are many options available to them.
You will encounter questions on antonyms, synonyms, concord, oral, and questions that are taken directly from a given literary text when taking the English language exam.
I’ll beg you to read the fine print in your other three subjects taken together so that you can pass with distinction.
How to score high in the JAMB 2022 Exam
I’ll outline the technique for getting a 280 or higher on the Utme in the sentences that follow.
You may have heard that the JAMB exam is difficult to pass. But all of these are devil’s pit lies. In actuality, the UTME is one of the easiest tests to pass.
I can guarantee that if you can complete the steps listed below, you will receive a score on this upcoming test of no less than 280.
Get the JAMB syllabus
Every subject has its syllabus. In order to know where to read and cover you need a JAMB Syllabus. This will guide you during your course of reading and will definitely have a way for an amazing result.
The syllabus is like scheme of works and for every subject, you will be sitting for in the forthcoming examination there is the syllabus for it on Jamb official www.Jamb.gov.ng.
Get Textbooks
One of the reasons I said JAMB was easy there is that, in addition to giving you a syllabus to use as a guide, the organization in charge of administering the exam also tells you what textbooks to read for each subject.
Get these textbooks, not one or more than you can read, and make sure you fully comprehend every single detail.
Read aggressively
Despite how easy the jamb is, some applicants still receive scores below 200. This is so unfortunate because many of them don’t have much knowledge of how exams are conducted.
It’s doubtful whether one can earn up to 200 points without reading extensively and thoroughly. You must therefore read constantly in order to correctly respond to JAMB questions.
You will undoubtedly encounter difficult and challenging questions, but if you have adequately prepared yourself, you won’t find them to be at all challenging.
Attend a tutorials
Although some people might say they don’t enjoy attending tutorials, that’s fine. If you don’t want to go to tutorials, that’s okay. Just make sure you don’t miss brainstorming sessions with people who share your intelligence and sometimes even know more than you.
If you can implement this study tip, it will be very beneficial. Not only does it increase participants’ chances of receiving high marks, but it also expands their knowledge base.
And if your choice is to attend a tutorial, I would like to extend my congratulations in advance. In tutorials, you will interact with tutors who are authorities in various fields.
Pray and Review what you read
There is a proverb that goes, “Pray as if you haven’t read, and read as if you don’t have God. This implies that you must carry out the two tasks simultaneously.
Before praying, you read. Even after reading all of your materials, always be humble. Make a prayer request for a smooth registration and exam process.

– Wristwatches, bangles, and other beautification accessories are not allowed as well.
